Sukhumvit Area
The long Sukhumvit road is the main commercial street in Bangkok. It stretches for tens of kilometers in Bangkok alone, starting in an easterly direction from where it changes its name to Ploenchit Road (nearby Ploenchit Skytrain station). To the East the road continues to the cities Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. |

Thus Sathon Road serves as an important transportation link between Phra Nakhon and Thonburi sides of Bangkok.
